ÌSIMI IN THE BEDROOM

Posted by Olukorede Ojerinola on

I know after a busy day all you want to do is climb in that bed and sleep it all off. But then its difficult to do with that throbbing pain or that headache or it just feels like the weight of the world is on your shoulders.
We also work hard to make sure our bedrooms are soothing environments. All to set the mood for sleep and relaxation. But one of the best ways to set the tone for your bedroom is with the right scent.
I know I ramble a lot about the right scent this and right scent that but I have got some interesting factoids to back them up.
We all know Aromatherapy is the best path to relaxation but you can’t just pick up any product or scent and I am here to tell you why.

The Products and the Scents
At ÌSIMI, all our scents are available as scented candles, diffusers, room sprays and wax melts. each scent has its own unique benefits and will make each person feel different things.
Here are my interesting facts about some of the scents found in our favourite products.
Lavender
Long celebrated for its calming effects and ability to combat anxiety, the smell of lavender is clinically proven to slow down the nervous system, which relaxes the body and mind to improve sleep quality.
Vanilla
Along with being a noted stress reliever and relaxer, vanilla is often used in aromatherapy to stabilise heart rates and reduce blood pressure.

Jasmine
Known for its soft but super sweet scent, jasmine is a surprisingly powerful sleep aid. Not only is it packed with stress-fighting and sleep-inducing properties, research shows that the smell of jasmine works just as well as valium for calming the nervous system.
Geranium
A totally natural sedative, geranium has long been the go–to scent for aromatherapy enthusiasts trying to combat insomnia and other stress-related hardships. Get a good whiff of this rosy fragrance via an aroma diffuser or candle and you’ll be off to dreamland in no time.
Not only are certain scents powerful enough to relieve anxiety and reduce stress, some can actually help you fall and stay asleep at night. So before you find yourself tossing and turning in bed again, opt for a candle, aroma diffuser, or spray in your bedroom made with one of our favourite sleep-inducing fragrances instead.
Bergamot
Bergamot is a unique type of orange tree and its oil is derived from the rinds of its oranges. Along with appeasing anxiety, a quick sniff of this citrusy scent will also quell negative thoughts and feelings. Some bergamot-infused room mist around your bedroom before bedtime and you’ll sleep like a baby.
